Steampunk Weather Instrument

This is the steampunk version of the weather instrument. It has temperature, humidity, pressure, today/tomorrow forecast, today/tomorrow temperature high/lows, and wind direction/speed. The rooster rotates to show wind direction!

The gauges are 3D printed from PLA plastic and then wrapped in copper sheet. The rooster is 3D printed from copper-filled PLA. The pipe fittings are from Home Depot.

The forecast wheels are run by miniature stepper motors.
The top board is a stepper motor driver. The lower board is the brains.

Second generation weather instrument

This one uses rotating icon wheels to indicate today's and tomorrow's forecasts. It also adds a little OLED display for today/tomorrow forecast high and low temperatures. Finally, it also adds wind speed and wind direction.

Like the first generation, it is powered by an ESP32 chip but with the addition of a slave motor driver board based on an STM32F103CB.

Internet Weather Instrument

This is the latest project: an old-fashioned looking analog weather instrument. It gets its data from Environment Canada over the interwebs. On the left is outdoor temperature, in the middle is barometric pressure plus forecast, and on the right is the outdoor relative humidity.
